Funeral set for 24-year-old woman killed in Belfast hit-and-run
The funeral of 24-year-old Raven Adams will take place in Dublin on Tuesday following her death in a hit-and-run collision in north Belfast. Ms Adams, originally from the Tipperary area, was struck by a car on York Street shortly before 3am on Thursday. A man was also injured and remains in hospital.
A service will be held at Dardistown Crematorium at 11.30am, with removal from Shevlin's Funeral Home in Dundalk at 10.30am. Reposing will take place at the funeral home on Monday afternoon.
Ms Adams worked at The Thirsty Goat, a bar in Belfast city centre. The venue will close on Tuesday as a mark of respect. In a statement, colleagues described her as a kind and dedicated person whose laughter and warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Support was also offered to a second employee, Ethan, who was injured in the same incident.
A GoFundMe page set up by Ethan Dornan has raised more than £5,000 to help the family with funeral costs. The page stated Ms Adams was walking home from work when the collision occurred.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed the collision on York Street and said inquiries are ongoing.
