The family of a woman who died in a road collision in County Antrim has asked mourners to wear colourful clothing to her funeral.

Natasha Gove, 31, known as Tash, from the Ballyclare area, sustained fatal injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Glenariffe Road near Ballymena on Saturday, 18 July. A 41-year-old man who was also in the silver Ford Transit Custom van was pronounced dead at the scene.

A service of celebration for Ms Gove’s life is to be held at S and J Irvine’s Funeral Home, 48 Rashee Road, Ballyclare, on 24 July at 2.30 pm. A committal will follow at Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium at 4 pm.

In a social media post, her father David Gove said the family wanted to focus on happy times and celebrate her life. He asked attendees to consider wearing colour, leopard print, or anything that reflected her personality instead of traditional black.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Links Counselling Service via the funeral director.

Police Service of Northern Ireland collision investigators are examining the circumstances of the crash. Officers ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam or other footage to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1423 18/07/26. Reports can also be submitted online through the PSNI’s non-emergency reporting form.
