A man was shot in the legs in west Belfast on Sunday night.

Police and paramedics responded to reports of a shooting close to the Falls Road at around 9:35pm.

Emergency crews treated the man at the scene before transferring him to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Forensic officers examined a small entryway between Ross Road and the Falls Road during the early hours of Monday morning.
