Police officers on patrol in Donemana seized suspected Class A and Class B drugs on Thursday 23 July.

The District Support Team from Derry/Londonderry made the discovery in the Berryhill Road area shortly before 9pm. A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences and remains in custody.

Inspector Cathal Pearce stated that drugs bring misery to individuals, families and communities, and that police remain focused on disrupting criminal activity, removing drugs from the streets and keeping people safe. He added that officers will continue to proactively investigate and search properties linked to the drugs trade.

Enquiries are ongoing and police have appealed for information. Anyone with details about drug supply or dealing can contact officers on 101 or submit a report online via the PSNI website. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org.
