Police in Derry have seized suspected Class B drugs with an estimated street value of £10,000 during a planned search in the Waterside area on 25 August. The operation also resulted in the seizure of four cars, two motorbikes and a significant sum of cash.

The search was led by officers from the Derry City & Strabane District Support Team. Inspector Cathal Pearce said the PSNI is working every day to remove illegal drugs from communities and to disrupt the activities of those involved in their sale and supply. He described the search as proactive and part of ongoing efforts to keep people safe.

Enquiries are continuing. Inspector Pearce appealed for anyone with information about drug supply or dealing to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
