A Ballymena-based used car retailer has renewed its sponsorship of a prominent race class at the Armoy Road Races for a seventh consecutive year. Hilton Car Sales will again back the Next Generation Supersport 1 race during the 2026 event, scheduled for Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July.

The County Antrim village event draws hundreds of riders and spectators each summer. Friday evening racing has become a fixture, with the Hilton Car Sales-sponsored race consistently providing close competition. Last year, Mike Browne took victory on a Russell Racing Yamaha, followed by Paul Jordan in second and Michael Sweeney in third after a tight battle.

Andy Hilton, owner of the dealership, said the Armoy event remains a highlight of the racing season. He praised the efforts of the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club volunteers who organise the races.

Club chairman Gareth McAuley said planning for the 2026 edition is well advanced. He welcomed the continued support from Hilton, adding that sponsorship helps attract top riders and fans from around the world. McAuley noted the Next Generation Supersport 1 class plays a role in showcasing emerging talent and fostering future competitors.

The Armoy Road Races are part funded by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. The weekend culminates with the Bayview Hotel Race of Legends. Organisers expect the event to provide an economic boost to local businesses and hospitality providers.

Corporate hospitality packages and programme bundles are available through the Armoy Road Races website.
