The Nerve Centre has published details of events and training opportunities for the 2026-27 academic year, including teacher training in partnership with Ofcom and school partnership applications opening in April 2027.

Free student workshops for Moving Image Arts schools are available, with registration through an expression of interest form. A media literacy webinar for parents will offer advice on supporting safer online habits through practical conversations.

For young filmmakers, a Halloween Scrap to Screen workshop will run from 26-30 October, with sign-up opening soon. Halloween youth workshops will also take place in Belfast.

The Matrix Future Focus Schools Challenge, in partnership with NI Science Festival, will ask young people to imagine and prototype solutions to future challenges. NI Science Festival itself runs from 11-21 February 2027.

Future Pathways events will take place at Foyle Arena on 30 September and at Melvin Hall on 13 October, offering young people information on careers in creative and digital fields.

Teacher training for EOTAS centres will be delivered from September, and training for Ulster University PGCE students will run throughout the year.

Children's author Stuart Reid will visit the Nerve Centre in October.
