Armoy Road Races 2026 Launched, Global Crowds Expected
Organisers of the Armoy Road Races have officially launched the 2026 event, confirming that thousands of spectators are expected in the County Antrim village this July.
The launch took place at the Bayview Hotel in Portballintrae, with road racers Paul Jordan, Marcus Simpson, Neil Kernohan and Michael Clyde attending a question-and-answer session.
Club chairman Gareth McAuley, clerk of course William Munnis, and title sponsor Trevor Kane addressed attendees, along with the mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Dawn Huggins.
The racing programme is scheduled for Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July, with bike week beginning on 18 July.
Several high-profile riders have already entered, including last year's man of the meeting Paul Jordan and Marcus Simpson, who set a lap record in 2022.
The club said the event, now in its 17th year, has grown into one of Northern Ireland's most anticipated road racing fixtures.
Sponsors including Roadside Garages, Hilton Car Sales, and the Bayview Hotel were acknowledged for their support.
Mayor Huggins said the races bring significant economic benefits to the area, boosting local businesses, accommodation providers, and restaurants.
She also noted the community effort required to stage the event, with volunteers making final preparations.
Programme packages and car parking passes are now on sale, with further information available on the club's website.
