Pedestrian Taken to Hospital After Bus Collision in Belfast City Centre
A collision between a bus and a pedestrian occurred in Belfast city centre on March 9. The incident took place at Victoria Street, near the entrance to Victoria Square Carpark.
Police, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and other emergency responders attended the scene. Police reported the crash in the Chichester Street area and noted possible delays for motorists.
The ambulance service received a 999 call at 14:30. They sent one emergency ambulance and a rapid response paramedic. A helicopter emergency medical service crew also went to the location by car.
One person received assessment and initial treatment on site. That individual went to Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance.
A Translink spokesperson confirmed a Metro bus was involved around 2:30pm. Emergency services responded to the location.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service did not attend. Motorists were told to avoid the area during the response.
