A child was transported to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children after a road traffic collision in East Belfast. The incident occurred at the junction of Knock Road and Roddens Park around 5pm and involved one vehicle.

Police attended the scene along with two crews from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The road closed briefly during the response.

The ambulance service received a 999 call at 17:12 reporting the collision. Responders included a rapid response paramedic and an emergency crew.

Crews provided assessment and initial treatment on site before taking one patient to hospital. Police confirmed the Knock Road area later cleared for traffic.
