Police in Carrickfergus are urging residents to review their home security after two masked males were seen acting suspiciously in the Elizabeth Avenue area in the early hours of Friday.

The incident occurred around 2:30am when the males, wearing all black clothing, entered an unlocked vehicle but left without taking anything.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward, quoting reference number 460 of 28/08/26. Information can be provided via the police witness appeal form or by calling 101.

Officers also reminded the public to be mindful of their home security, ensuring all windows and doors are locked when leaving the house or going to bed.
