Police Service of Northern Ireland donated £10,000 to Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. The funds came from a court forfeiture order on cash seized during a 2024 house search in Mid and East Antrim.

Officers from the Larne and Carrickfergus Neighbourhood Policing Teams found cannabis, a Class B controlled drug, and cash at the property. Police arrested a man in his 60s, charged him with related offences, and a court imposed a two-year suspended sentence.

Constable Scott said the police value their work with Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, a provider of urgent medical aid across Northern Ireland. He added that the funds from criminal proceeds will support local communities and encouraged reports of drug activity to police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Air Ambulance Northern Ireland partners with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service on a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. The service runs seven days a week for 12 hours daily and reaches any point in Northern Ireland in about 25 minutes.

Crews handle roughly two calls daily for road collisions, workplace accidents, sports injuries, and medical emergencies. The charity needs £8,200 each day and £3 million yearly, raised through public contributions.
