Two-Week North Belfast Operation Nets Firearms, £15k of Drugs and Three Arrests
A targeted police operation in North Belfast over a two-week period last month led to the seizure of two firearms, around 55 rounds of ammunition and class A drugs worth an estimated £15,000.
Ten separate searches were carried out by local officers and the Belfast Crime Team. Recovered substances included cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, along with suspected class B drugs and about £2,000 of illegal cannabis vapes sent for further forensic analysis.
Assets valued at approximately £85,000 were also seized. The haul included cars, cash and other items linked to the investigation.
Three men were arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences. Police said the investigation remains active and additional action may follow.
Inspector Matthew Adams said disrupting organised drug supply networks is a priority for the area. He described the work as proactive and dependent on accurate information, adding that the results showed decisive action could be taken to protect communities from drug-related harm.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland urged anyone with information about dealing or supply to call 101, report online, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
