Organisations in Mid Ulster are being encouraged to register events for Good Relations Week 2026, which will take place from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 October.

The annual programme, organised by the Community Relations Council, is one of Northern Ireland's largest celebrations of peace-building and cultural diversity. This year's theme is 'Include', with the message Everyone. Everywhere. Every Day.

Events can include workshops, panel discussions, talks, podcasts, film screenings, performances, exhibitions, and storytelling sessions. The campaign aims to bring together hundreds of events exploring issues such as identity, belonging, migration, shared spaces, sectarianism, racism, and cultural diversity.

Mid Ulster District Council is supporting the campaign and is encouraging schools, community groups, and businesses to take part. The deadline for registration is Thursday, October 1.

Martin McDonald MBE, Chair of the Community Relations Council, said the week is an important opportunity to recognise the work done daily to bring people together and promote understanding. He said the theme reminds everyone they have a role in creating a welcoming and inclusive society.

Good Relations Week has been running for more than 20 years and is supported by The Executive Office. It contributes to the delivery of the Together: Building a United Community Strategy.
