Man charged after £650,000 drug seizure in Craigavon
A man has been charged with multiple drugs offences after police stopped a vehicle in Craigavon.
Officers from the Organised Crime Branch stopped a black Volkswagen in Drumbeg on Tuesday September 15 at 4.30pm. Inside the car they found drugs with an estimated street value of £650,000.
The driver, a 29-year-old man, was arrested and has been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug, and possession with intent to supply. He was also charged with possession of Class B and Class C controlled drugs.
A PSNI spokesperson said drug supply and misuse is a vicious cycle that needs to be collectively broken, and appealed for anyone with information about illegal drug use or supply to call police on 101.
The man is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court today.
