A full prosecution file in the case against Conor McNamee, accused of murdering Amy Doherty in Derry, is expected to be ready by June 30.

McNamee, aged 30, of Summer Meadow Mews in the Waterside area, faces three charges: murder, possession of an offensive weapon, namely a kitchen knife, and possession of class A drugs. All charges relate to an incident on March 21.

At a recent hearing at Bishop Street Courthouse, where McNamee did not appear, the court was informed of the filing timetable.

Defence counsel Stephen Mooney requested a four-week adjournment to allow for the file to be received and reviewed. The court granted the request.

The case is next listed for July 16 at Bishop Street Courthouse.
