A concert titled ‘Music and Memories of Marion’ will take place at St Columba’s Church Hall in Omagh on Thursday, June 18, starting at 8pm. Admission is free.

Performers will include Calvin Davidson, Gerarda McCann, Daryl Simpson, and Omagh Music Society. A small orchestra made up of friends of Marion Haddow will also play. Representatives from St Mary’s Primary School, Killyclogher, are expected to attend.

Haddow died on April 12. She worked for many years as a string tutor with the Western Education and Library Boards Music Service, contributing to music education across the area for 50 years.

Gerarda McCann, one of the event organisers, said the evening will bring together people who knew Haddow to remember her energy and deep commitment to her students. McCann noted that Haddow followed the progress of those she taught into adulthood and remained invested in their musical journeys.

The concert will also feature conversations with individuals who were close to Haddow during her time with the music service.
