Fundraising concert in Strabane to honour Carol-Ann McCullagh and support Omagh Renal Unit
A fundraising concert is being organised in Strabane in memory of Carol-Ann McCullagh, who died in January following a long period of kidney failure.
Mrs McCullagh, known to family and friends as Carlann, received care at the Omagh Renal Unit during her illness. Her brother, Sean O'Neill, is arranging the event to celebrate her life and to give back to the unit that supported her.
"A Night to Remember" will take place at Dicey's in Strabane on December 5. The line-up includes Muted Tweed, Darren Doherty and the Heathen Choir, and Mammoth Head.
Mr O'Neill said he wanted to create something in his sister's memory and that music was the natural choice, as he had played in bands over the years. He noted that the gig will also mark his return to the Dicey's stage, where he last performed around 2013.
Advance tickets cost £5 plus a booking fee and are available through Eventbrite. Tickets will be £8 on the door. All proceeds will go to the Omagh Renal Unit.
