The search for a missing Castlederg woman on Lough Erne has entered its fifth day, with specialist sonar equipment now being used by emergency crews.

Lyndsey Rankin was last seen on Friday in the Castle Archdale area. Police, the RNLI and the North West Mountain Rescue Team have been conducting coordinated searches from Castle Archdale and the Round O.

Adverse weather conditions have slowed progress, and some sections of the lough have been searched multiple times to ensure no area is missed.

Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Jemma Dolan expressed deep concern about the ongoing search. She said her thoughts were with Ms Rankin’s family and friends during this worrying time, and she praised the efforts of the emergency services and volunteers.

The public has shared appeals for information widely on social media. Police are asking anyone who may be able to assist to contact them on 101, quoting the relevant reference number.
