Omagh will host its Christmas lights switch-on on Saturday, November 21, with entertainment starting at 1pm at Omagh Courthouse and The Diamond. The official lighting will take place at 5.30pm.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council organised the event as part of its wider Christmas programme across the district. The line-up includes brass bands, carol singing, festive characters, arts and crafts, and local performances.

Pupils from Arvalee School and Resource Centre in Omagh will perform. Willowbridge School in Enniskillen will also take part.

Council Chair Councillor Debbie Coyle said the festive programme offers opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages. She encouraged people to support local shops and businesses in the run-up to Christmas.

The Strule Arts Centre will host seasonal workshops including Christmas decoration-making, wreath-making, and Christmas Angel workshops throughout the festive period. The full programme is available on the council's website.
