A woman from Lurgan has won the Best Dressed Lady competition at Down Royal Racecourse's Ladies Day. Shileen McConville took home a £3,000 travel voucher from Madrí after impressing the judges with her outfit, which included a suit by 4th & Reckless, Steve Madden heels, a cape coat from Weavers Of Ireland, a bag from Vinted, and a hat from Max & Ellie.

Ms McConville said she was surprised by the win and plans to use the prize for a family ski trip. She thanked the judges and event organisers.

Head judge Grainne McCoy said the standard of autumn-winter fashion was high and that Ms McConville's suit and accessories made her stand out.

In the Best Dressed Male category, Alan Greer from Lisburn won for his thrifted suit and bespoke shoes from Undandy. His prize was a made-to-order three-piece suit, shirt, tie, and accessories from Freddie Hatchett.

The Best Dressed Couple award went to Raymond and Gillian Gilbourne from Cork, who wore coordinated outfits. They won a two-night stay at The Bedford Hotel in Belfast.

Chloe Ferris, commercial director at Down Royal Racecourse, thanked the sponsors and said Ladies Day is a highlight of the race day calendar.
