Search for missing Tyrone woman enters fourth day on Lough Erne
The search for a missing Castlederg woman continued into a fourth day on Lower Lough Erne, with multiple rescue teams deployed across a wide area.
Lyndsey Rankin was last seen at approximately 9.30am on Friday 5 June near Castle Archdale Boat Hire in Enniskillen. Police have described her as a high-risk missing person.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesperson confirmed that searches are being carried out alongside partner agencies following the missing person report. The operation has involved Lough Erne Search and Rescue, the Lough Neagh Rescue team, crews from the North Coast, and the North West Mountain Rescue Team.
Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Jemma Dolan expressed her concern as the search extended into the new week. She said her thoughts were with Ms Rankin’s family and friends during an extremely worrying time, and commended both the emergency services and volunteer teams for their efforts.
Police in Enniskillen have appealed for anyone who may have seen Ms Rankin or has information about her whereabouts to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency, quoting reference CC2026060501242.
