A search operation is underway on Lower Lough Erne for a woman missing from Castlederg since Friday.

Lyndsey Rankin was last seen at approximately 9:30 am on June 5 near Castle Archdale Boat Hire, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said. Officers have described her as a high-risk missing person.

Multiple agencies have joined the effort, including Lough Erne Search and Rescue, Lough Neagh Rescue, the RNLI, and North West Mountain Rescue. Teams are using specialist sonar equipment to scan the water, according to Sean McGarry, regional commander of the Community Rescue Service. He stated that searches have taken place each day since Ms Rankin disappeared.

Colleagues from Bubbles Adventure Alley in Strabane, where Ms Rankin works, have appealed for public assistance. A spokesperson for the company expressed hope that she is found safe and said emergency services remain actively involved.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 101 or 999, quoting reference CC2026060501242.
