Two men have been ordered to stand trial at Derry Crown Court after a preliminary hearing at the city’s Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

Christopher Boast, 36, of Gelvin Grange, and Tadeusz Olejniczak, 41, of Harty Court, each face five charges of being concerned in the supply of class C drugs. The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 1 May 2021 and 11 March 2025.

Boast is further charged with two counts of attempted possession of class A drugs on dates between 1 March and 10 April 2024, and 14 counts of possessing class C drugs with intent to supply on 11 March 2025.

Olejniczak additionally faces three counts of possessing class C drugs with intent to supply on 11 March 2025.

The court was told that there was a case to answer and no submissions were made against the committal. Neither defendant called witnesses or made a statement.

Both men were released on bail and will appear at Derry Crown Court for trial on 3 July.
