Libraries NI is running events from 1 to 14 June to promote different reading formats during HiVis Fortnight.

The campaign encourages residents to use large print, audiobooks and other adjustments available at local branches.

Staff will also direct users to resources from RNIB and Deafblind UK.

Jim O’Hagan, Libraries NI Chief Executive, said libraries aim to support reading that fits individual needs.

RNIB is asking people to visit libraries in the same period to check availability of accessible formats and report findings.

Lara Marshall, RNIB Library services manager, said the short visits can help identify stock for blind and partially sighted readers.

A podcast featuring audiobook narrator Gerard Doyle is available on the Libraries NI website.
