Libraries NI is introducing a free programme of online wellbeing sessions aimed at bringing health support directly into communities across Northern Ireland. The initiative includes guided mindfulness, yoga and Pilates classes designed to help participants build healthier routines.

The programme will run from mid-June until March next year. It has been developed in response to increasing physical and mental health pressures, including stress, reduced mobility and long-term conditions that can affect daily life and employment.

By delivering sessions online, Libraries NI intends to remove common barriers such as transport difficulties, time constraints, cost and caring responsibilities. Participants can join from home using a smartphone, tablet or computer.

The service is open to all, regardless of experience with the activities on offer. Libraries NI Services Manager Deirdre Nugent said previous online wellbeing programmes were well attended and generated positive feedback. She highlighted that participants valued the convenience of being able to join from home, and that the new sessions would help more people across Northern Ireland access wellbeing support in a way that fits their daily lives.

Full details of upcoming sessions will be published on the Libraries NI website and social media channels.
