The Northern Ireland Assembly will hold public engagement events at the Balmoral Show from 13 to 16 May at the Eikon Exhibition Centre. Assembly committees plan sessions on health, renewable energy, marriage law and the Windsor Framework. The stand occupies B44-45 in Section B near the cattle rings.

Assembly Speaker Edwin Poots MLA will open the marquee on 14 May at 9.30am. He stated that such events allow politicians to hear public views on daily issues and strengthen Assembly work through diverse perspectives. Poots noted last year's success led to more sessions this year.

The Health Committee joins My Care and Farm Families for checks on 14 May from 12.30pm to 2.00pm. Services include blood pressure, diabetes screening, heart health and lifestyle advice, targeting farming families. The Farm Families Health Check runs all four days at Stand C7. Visitors need healthcare number and photo ID to register for the My Care app.

The Economy Committee discusses the Petroleum Exploration Licensing (Repeal) Bill on 14 May morning. The Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee covers anaerobic digesters on 15 May, with a public survey and briefing from the Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy. A joint session with the House of Commons committee follows but stays closed to the public.

The Finance Committee seeks views on the Marriage and Civil Partnership Bill on 14 May afternoon. The Windsor Framework Committee explains its scrutiny of post-Brexit trade and regulations. The Public Accounts Committee addresses public spending oversight on 15 May afternoon. A Youth Assembly event questions Poots at 1pm on 15 May.
