DAERA Plans Interactive Exhibit at 2026 Balmoral Show
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) will present an interactive showcase at the 157th Balmoral Show. The event runs from 13 to 16 May at the Eikon Centre in Northern Ireland.
The exhibition sits in the Government Departments Exhibition area. It includes seven themed zones on animal health, sustainable food production, climate action, circular economy, nature recovery and water quality.
Hands-on activities, visual displays and staff engagement highlight how policy, science and innovation aid farming, rural communities and the natural environment.
The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) will provide information on careers and training in agri-food and land-based sectors.
Staff from other government departments and agencies will offer advice.
Activities suit all ages. Interactive games, videos, displays and educational sessions target younger visitors. A passport game for children includes a prize for completion.
Farm businesses and rural stakeholders can obtain guidance on various issues.
