Reuse and Repair Week events planned across Northern Ireland
Free bicycle repair workshops will be held at the South Lake Leisure Centre in Craigavon on 4 and 5 June as part of Northern Ireland's first Reuse and Repair Week.
The events, organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, will run on Thursday 4 June from 5pm to 8pm and on Friday 5 June from 3pm to 5pm.
Experienced mechanics will carry out minor repairs including brake and gear adjustments, puncture repairs and safety checks.
A workshop on composting will also be held at Gortin Community Garden on 1 June from 10.30am to noon.
The Owenkillew Community Development Association is hosting the session titled 'Waste Not, Grow Lots' which focuses on using food waste from a community fridge.
Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray said the council supported the campaign to bring people together to share skills and reduce waste.
The week runs from 30 May to 6 June and is organised by the Northern Ireland Resources Network with funding from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.
