Paul Jordan Claims Davy Morgan Memorial Trophy at Bishopscourt Ulster Superbike Round
Temple Motorcycle and Athletic Club hosted the second round of the Ulster Superbike Championship at Bishopscourt on Saturday.
Carl Phillips won the opening Superbike race on his SBT BMW ahead of Jonny Campbell on BMW. Irwin took third place ahead of Sam Laffins with Mike Browne and Ryan Gibson in fifth and sixth.
Phillips led from start to finish in the second Superbike race. Campbell placed second. Laffins finished third after Jamie Lyons dropped back with Ryan Gibson fourth Luke Jones fifth and Derek Sheils sixth.
Korie McGreevy led the first Supersport race on McAdoo Kawasaki ahead of Richard Cooper on Russell Racing Yamaha and Paul Jordan on Jackson Racing Ducati. Jeremy McWilliams placed fourth followed by Christian Elkin and Gary McCoy.
Cooper took the lead in lap seven of the first Supersport race after McGreevy crashed out. Cooper won ahead of Jordan McWilliams and Elkin. McCoy placed fifth and William Donnelly sixth.
Christian Elkin won the second Supersport race by 0.124 seconds ahead of Paul Jordan. Caolan Irwin took third ahead of Jeremy McWilliams with Adam Brown fifth and Gary McCoy sixth.
Paul Jordan received the Davy Morgan Memorial Trophy for overall Supersport results over the two races. The trophy honours the Saintfield rider who died at the Isle of Man TT.
William Graham and Joel Haire split wins in Moto 1. Elkin won both Supertwin races. Jonathan Gregory won both Superbike Cup races. Christian Boyles took both Supersport Cup races. Ruben Sherman Boyd won both Lightweight Supersport races. Alfie Flynn won both Moto 3 races.
