Police arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent after a stabbing in Omagh, County Tyrone. The incident occurred in the Kelvin Road area around 12.25am on Sunday, April 19.

Officers received a report of a man stabbed in the lower abdomen. Emergency services attended the scene. Northern Ireland Ambulance Service personnel were already present when police arrived.

The injured man received hospital treatment for his injuries. The suspect remains in custody.

Sergeant Irvine stated police obtained the report at 12.25am and attended alongside ambulance colleagues. He confirmed the arrest and noted the injured man went to hospital.
