Police in Bangor are investigating multiple reports of anti-social behaviour at local businesses over recent weeks. Incidents involved teenagers targeting staff and customers on Main Street and High Street.

On 16 March, teenage boys entered a retail premises on Main Street. They threatened to assault a staff member and caused a disturbance.

On 17 March, known as St Patrick's Day, teenagers entered a food establishment on High Street. They spat on staff and kicked one worker.

Police received two reports on 20 March. In the first, a teenager was verbally abusive and threw food items at staff and customers in a Main Street business. A video of this incident is circulating on social media.

In the second report that day, youths entered a retail store. They threw items around and disrupted workers and shoppers.

Bangor Neighbourhood Inspector Campbell said officers take the reports seriously and recognise their impact on the community. Patrols will continue in Bangor and surrounding areas.

Police are working with partner agencies and local representatives to resolve the issues.
