Couple from Newbridge Raise Over £60,000 for ALPS Charity in Two Years
Eamon and Rosie Donnelly, residents of Newbridge near Magherafelt in south Derry, completed a 120-kilometre trek along the Portuguese Way from Porto to Tui last July as part of a group of 25 people.
The couple raised £32,610 for ALPS, a charity that provides well-being support, awareness training, development services, and therapeutic care to individuals, families, schools, and communities.
This donation follows their 2023 fundraiser, which brought in £27,969 for the same organisation.
ALPS representatives stated that the pair's efforts represent hundreds of hours of support and life-saving interventions for vulnerable people.
The total contributions from the Donnellys now exceed £60,000 over two years.
