St Paul’s GFC in Taghnevan, Lurgan, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the first phase of a new indoor recreation and training space. The club plans to include a gym in the facility to support players, members, and the local community.

The project addresses increased demand from recent growth at the club. The indoor space will enable training during winter weather and offer strength and conditioning classes, fitness sessions, yoga, Pilates, and injury rehabilitation.

Club officials described the initiative as a long-term modular project. Phase one requires just under £50,000, with the full project estimated at £120,000 to £150,000.

Support from the Sport NI Olympic Legacy Fund provides £30,197. Crowdfunding has raised £42,932 so far, leaving over £7,000 needed for phase one.

Funds will cover building materials, construction, fixtures, fittings, and equipment. The facility will serve club members and the wider community to promote activity and wellbeing.

The club maintains football pitches, a memorial garden, and an allotment, which local residents use for walking.
