Man Released on Bail After Pointing Imitation Firearm at North Belfast Home
Police arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm after an incident outside a property on Cavehill Road in north Belfast. The event took place shortly before 6.25pm on Friday, 20 March.
A vehicle pulled up to the property. A male occupant exited, produced what appeared to be a firearm, and pointed it at the male householder. The man approached the front door and banged on it with the weapon. Another car occupant threw a glass bottle at the property.
Officers later stopped the vehicle in the Harmin Drive area. They arrested the man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and driving offences. He was released on bail for further enquiries.
