Police in North Belfast arrested a 51-year-old man on Wednesday, April 8, following reports of a firearm at a property in the Highfield Gardens area.

Officers received the call at 6.20pm. Local police attended along with the Armed Response Unit. Footage shows officers arresting an individual at the scene.

The man faces charges of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, plus theft. He remains in custody.

Three people were inside the house at the time. No injuries occurred.
