Courts: Drink drivers, paedophile hunter sting and abusive holiday messages among cases heard across courts
ARDS: A 50-year-old woman from Bangor was convicted of sending persistent abusive messages to a friend who helped her book a holiday she felt did not meet her expectations, bombarding the travel agent via WhatsApp, Facebook and email demanding a refund.
BALLYMENA: A motorist with a breath alcohol reading of 88 - more than double the legal limit of 35 - was caught after police observed his vehicle swerving and crossing white lines on the evening of a housewarming party at his new home.
BELFAST: A 36-year-old homeless woman with more than 50 previous convictions was charged with five offences including criminal damage, common assault and outraging public decency following an incident in the city centre on 3 March, and was granted bail on condition she is not intoxicated in public, with the case adjourned to 2 April.
BELFAST: A 49-year-old Pomeroy man, Enda Ruddy, is to stand trial at Belfast Crown Court on two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child and one count of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, following what is understood to be a paedophile hunter operation, after a prima facie case was found against him and he was released on £500 bail.
CRAIGAVON: A motorist who told police he had drunk two pints pleaded guilty to failing to provide both preliminary and evidential breath samples, with his defence lawyer noting he may have been under the legal limit had he provided a specimen.
