Two people have died in two separate road collisions in County Tyrone in less than 24 hours. A 16-year-old boy was killed on Thursday evening in Coalisland, and a 45-year-old man died following a crash on Friday afternoon in Clogher.

The first incident occurred on Derryloughan Road at approximately 8.15 pm on Thursday 30 July. Connor Magee Campbell, from the Clonoe area, was riding a scrambler motorcycle when it collided with a Scania lorry. Police and paramedics attended the scene and provided medical treatment. He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) named the teenager and said inquiries are ongoing. Officers have asked anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam or other footage to come forward, quoting reference number 1724 of 30/07/26.

Connor Magee Campbell was a recently completed pupil at St Joseph's College in Coalisland and had been awaiting his GCSE results. He was also a member of local sports clubs, including Cookstown Boxing Club and Clonoe O'Rahillys GAA.

The second fatal crash happened on Crossowen Road, Clogher, at about 12.40 pm on Friday 31 July. The collision involved a white MG HS car and a Volvo lorry. Emergency services attended and treated a number of people. The driver of the car, 45-year-old Damien Paul Bintley from Holywood, died from his injuries a short time later.

PSNI Inspector Stewart confirmed the details and appealed for witnesses to contact police on 101, quoting reference 705 of 31/07/26.

Local political representatives expressed sympathy for the families. SDLP councillor Malachy Quinn and Sinn Féin councillor Eimear Carney said the community was shocked by the death of the teenager. DUP assembly member Deborah Erskine offered condolences to the family of the man killed on Friday, describing it as heartbreaking news for the area.

Police have not indicated whether any other parties were injured in either collision. Investigations are continuing.
