A man was arrested in Mid Ulster after police discovered drugs concealed in his underwear during a stop and search operation. Officers from the District Support Team (DST) seized drugs and cash valued at approximately £10,500.

The search took place during a proactive patrol targeting organised crime. Police said they became suspicious of the male and conducted the search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The suspect was detained on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. He remains in police custody.

In a statement, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said reducing drug-related harm in Mid Ulster is a priority. The DST has carried out numerous successful drug searches in the area over the past year.

Authorities urged the public to provide information that could assist their efforts. Reports can be made by calling 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
