Police in Mid Ulster have seized 16 kilograms of cannabis with an estimated street value of £240,000. A woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

The seizure was carried out by District Support Team officers who obtained a search warrant and entered a premises. The operation followed intelligence shared by Border Force.

A PSNI spokesperson stated that this result is the latest in a sustained series of successful operations against drug supply in the Mid Ulster district. The force said every positive search outcome demonstrates a commitment to reducing the harm caused by drugs in the area.

The spokesperson added that officers retain the capability to identify and target those operating at the highest levels of the drug supply chain, and that targeting drug supply remains a district priority.
