A car collided with a shop front in Dungannon town centre early on Tuesday, 21 July, causing structural damage but no reported injuries.

Police received a report around 5.50am of a single-vehicle crash at Market Square. Officers attended alongside Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service personnel. A white vehicle had mounted a kerb and struck the business premises.

No one was injured, police said, but the front façade of the building sustained damage.

Ulster Unionist Party representative Ian Irwin said the incident could have had serious consequences given the usual footfall in the area. He voiced relief that no injuries occurred.

Irwin called for a full investigation to determine the cause of the collision, including whether excessive speed, alcohol or drugs were factors. He said the public expected transparency and accountability.

He expressed sympathy for the shop owners, staff and witnesses affected by the event.
