Monday parade traffic disruption warning for Causeway Coast and Antrim towns
Road users in parts of County Antrim and County Londonderry are being warned of potential delays on Monday due to a series of planned parades.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said officers will be on duty in the Mid and East Antrim and Causeway Coast and Glens districts to manage traffic and public safety. Motorists are advised to plan extra time for journeys and consider alternative routes.
In Limavady, the parade will set off from Church Street at 11.45am and is due to reach Limavady Orange Field by 7pm. Traffic will be held during the parade but will be allowed to move through the town during a break between 1.45pm and 3pm. The return journey will involve William Street and Protestant Street among other routes, with some parades breaking off to terminate at various points in the town.
Ballymoney's parade starts at 1pm from the Coleraine Road, with a traffic break from 2.30pm to 4.15pm before finishing at 5.30pm. The route includes Model Schools Road, North Street, the showgrounds, and Main Street. The return leg will use North Road and Model School Road.
Kilrea's events get under way at 12pm, with a break for traffic from around 2pm to 3.30pm and a 5pm finish. The outward route covers Drumagarner Road, Maghera Street, and Garvagh Road, while the return goes via Garvagh Road and New Row.
In Rasharkin, parade participants will step out at 12.30pm, with traffic able to flow from 2.30pm to 5pm before the parade ends at about 6.30pm. Roads affected include Finvoy Road, Main Street, and Church Road.
Portglenone's parade also starts at 12.30pm. A traffic break will run from 1.30pm to 4pm, and the parade is expected to finish around 5.15pm. The route follows Hiltonstown Road, Cullybackey Road, Main Street, and crosses Portglenone Bridge.
