A planned parade in Kilkeel will cause traffic disruption in the town centre on Saturday, 15 August, the Police Service of Northern Ireland has said.

The outward parade will set off from Newcastle Road at approximately 11.30am and follow Newcastle Street, Bridge Street, Greencastle Street, around the roundabout, then Greencastle Street again, Newry Street, finishing at the Town Hall at around 12.15pm.

A return parade will leave the Town Hall at about 6pm, taking Newry Road, Newry Street, Greencastle Street, around the roundabout, Greencastle Street, Newry Street, and concluding at the Old Mourne Hospital at roughly 6.30pm.

Road restrictions will be in place in the town centre for several hours. Police are asking anyone attending to do so safely and are urging motorists to plan journeys in advance.

Those travelling to the event should park legally and avoid obstructing access to homes or businesses. Officers will be on the ground to manage traffic flow.
