CRASH Services has invested £500,000 in a new operational hub in Mallusk as it marks 30 years in business. The 6,579-square-foot facility on a 1.7-acre site will serve as a base for managing the company’s fleet of more than 630 vehicles.

The hub includes purpose-built wash bays and valeting facilities, along with a water recycling system to reduce consumption. It also has on-site charging infrastructure for up to six electric or hybrid vehicles.

The company said the investment is intended to speed up vehicle turnaround after collisions, allowing customers to get back on the road with less disruption.

CRASH Services was founded in 1996 by Michael McKeown. Since 2015, his son Jonathan McKeown has led the business. It now has offices in Belfast, Newry, Derry/Londonderry, and Mallusk, offering post-collision services including recovery, repairs, replacement vehicles, insurance assistance, legal support, and medical care.

Demand has grown substantially, with non-fault cases rising by over 200 per cent since 2000. The firm has supported more than 150,000 motorists across Northern Ireland.

Staff numbers have increased by 50 per cent over the past five years, and the workforce is expected to reach 140 by 2026.

Jonathan McKeown said reaching the 30-year milestone was a proud moment and that the Mallusk investment reflected the company’s growth and the trust customers place in it. He added the goal remained to remove the hassle for motorists after a collision, and the firm would keep investing in its people, fleet, and facilities.
