TG4 to Broadcast Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Live from Belfast
Belfast will host Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann for the first time this August, and Irish-language broadcaster TG4 will air live coverage over four nights.
TG4 will broadcast Fleadh26 nightly from August 6 to 9 at 9:30 pm, bringing live entertainment from the festival to viewers at home and internationally via TG4.ie. The programmes will feature performances and collaborations from traditional musicians, singers, and dancers.
Produced by Power Pictures, the broadcasts will be presented by Doireann Ní Ghlacáin, Peadar Ó Goill, and Gráinne McElwain.
Additionally, TG4 will stream live coverage of various competitions from Friday August 7 to Sunday August 9 on its TradTG4 YouTube channel. Those streams will be fronted by musician Freda Nic Giolla Chatháin.
The Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is the largest celebration of Irish traditional music, song, and dance in the world. The 2026 event is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to Belfast.
