Police have launched an appeal for information after damage was caused to a disused building at the former Whiteabbey Hospital.

Reports were received on 29 May and 9 June about groups of young people entering a restricted construction zone within the hospital grounds.

A police spokesperson confirmed that parts of the empty building were damaged as a result.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact them. Parents have also been asked to be aware of where their children are, to prevent them from being exposed to danger.
