Police in Derry are investigating criminal damage to a house in the Creevagh Heights area of Creggan estate. The incident occurred shortly after 9pm on Sunday March 15. A number of windows at the property were smashed.

Cllr McGinley stated that the home of a local family was targeted in an attack by criminal elements. He noted that young children among the occupants were traumatised by the incident. Cllr McGinley said the local community feels anger that those responsible carry out such violence without consequence.

Cllr McGinley described Creggan as a proud community where residents are appalled that neighbours face intimidation and attacks in their own homes. He called for anyone with information on the attacks to come forward so those responsible can be held accountable.

Chief Inspector Craig confirmed police enquiries are ongoing. Officers are seeking CCTV, dash cam footage or other information that could assist the investigation.
