The Eats & Beats Festival will return to Donard Park, Newcastle, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.

Two live performance stages will host more than 24 regional and national music acts. Headliners include D:Ream, Anna’s Number, and When Ireland Rocked featuring former Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell. Emerging local talent and other acts will also appear across the weekend.

Over 24 food vendors and 18 regional food producers will serve local produce. A programme of live cookery demonstrations will be led by chef Paul Cunningham, with guest appearances from chefs Jenny Bristow and Suzie Lee across ten sessions. Family entertainment will include Curious Minds activities and a dedicated Kid’s Zone.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson Councillor Philip Campbell said the festival had become a key highlight in the council’s annual programme, showcasing the best of local food, music and hospitality while creating an inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere.

A daily admission fee of £5 will be introduced this year to support safe delivery, maintain the quality of the programme, and manage capacity. Children aged 0 to 4 will be admitted free, and family ticket options will be available.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 11 June at 10am via the council’s box office website.

The festival, now in its fourth year, attracts thousands of visitors to Newcastle annually and provides a boost to the local hospitality and tourism economy.
