Man dies after fishing boat sinks in Carlingford Lough
The body of a man was recovered on Tuesday after a fishing boat sank in Carlingford Lough.
The vessel went down near Greencastle Point in County Down. Two people were on board.
One man was rescued by a passing local boat and taken to Greenore Harbour in County Louth.
The Irish Coast Guard received a report at 12:30 BST. Rescue 116 helicopter, Greenore Coast Guard, RNLI lifeboat from Kilkeel, and teams from Newcastle and Kilkeel responded.
A Royal Navy helicopter and the Marine Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Belfast also took part.
Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious. A post-mortem examination will be held.
The search involved emergency services from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
