Two people were rescued from Lough Erne late on Wednesday night after their personal watercraft broke down.

The alarm was raised at 9.48pm on 12 June, when Belfast Coastguard requested assistance. The volunteer crew of Carrybridge RNLI launched to the scene, approximately one mile downstream of Carrybridge.

The casualties and their craft were located, and both were brought safely to Carrybridge Lifeboat Station. The Lough Erne Coastguard Rescue Team then provided further assistance.
